Formatted Reference of Objects

2011-08-18 Thread Rilke Rainer Michael
Hi List-Readers,

I have a problem concerning the formatted reference of tables and
figures in lyx. When I include a formatted reference the text after
compiling the document states something like Figure 1 on page 5.

Is it possible somehow to change this text? I just want to display
Figure 1 without the page reference. When I choose the other options
they just report the number like 1.

Can somebody help me with this?

Kind Regards,
Rainer

P.S. I am using Lyx 2.0 and Miktex2.9.

Pages for Tables

2011-12-05 Thread Rilke Rainer Michael
Hello Lyx-User,

I am writing on a research report with Lyx. Everything works perfectly
fine. My documentclass is KOMA-Script.

In this report I have several tables. I would be fine to display each
table, irrespective of the size on one single page. Of course I can
insert page breaks and stuff, but this would crack my text apart.

Do you have any idea how I can write a command that fulfills this
requirement that every table is displayed within the document (not at
the end) but with a separate page?

I would be glad do get suggestions from you.

Kind Regards,
Rainer

Multirows lines

2013-01-24 Thread Rilke Rainer Michael
Hi Lyx-list,

I have a problem that is … so to say: pissing me off (sorry my French).

I want a table in Lyx that basically looks like this:

TEST1

TEST

TEST2

Lyx, however, produces a table that looks like this

TEST1

TEST

TEST2

The problem is that the program seems to omit the upper and lower horizontal
lines of the Row “Test”. I don’t know why.

Does anybody have a workaround for this?

Best,

Rainer

Hallo Scott,

Thank you for your reply. I am confused, too. But I have to mention that
the lyx file differs a bit from the table I originally posted in the

What I see is exactly what you described (1, MULTIROW above the table
and 2, no lines for multirows. I created that MWE from my main document
where I cannot find bug (1). I am not sure what to change ...

Hi Rainer,

I'm confused. The MWE is not like in the email you sent. In the email
you sent there are TEST1, TEST, and TEST2. In the LyX file I see 6
TESTS. What is your expected output for the LyX file?

A separate bug I see is that the first MULTIROW shows up *above* the
table. That is quite strange, right? That to me seems like a bug. Can
you confirm?

I did some recent work on handling tables and borders in LyX. There are
a few known problems but I have not seen this one.

Here is what I mean. I started the section, then immediately went into a
multiline equation envoronment, and got the error of TeX capacity
exceeded. I've learned over the years to look for this whenever I get
that error.

I want to emphasize that this is not a LyX bug, nor is it IMO a LaTeX bug. It
results from GIGO. The file out is an xwd output (X window
dump) of the error popup. If someone wants to see it but can't view
the format, write me back.

I suspect that something like this is what happened, and as you can see it is
hard to see it in LyX, but it just results from not separating the subsection
environment from the multiline math environment.
