It works on my Debian system without the SVN-PNG and SVG-PPM converters.
LyX is able to preview from EPS and/or PDF using the internal QT
converter.
So, instead of adding, just remove the offending definitions.
Still, LyX should not crash... A gdb backtrace would be nice...

I think you need to use the tocloft package. See section 2.4 of the manual,
on the \newlistof command. You'll do something like:

If you are using floats. You can rotate 90 degrees. it means you are using

There is only one side-effect: List of Figures and List of Tables are
not anynore _pushed_ to start in a new page. Perhaps the tocloft package
changes pagestyle or something. This is minor I think. With a New Page

I am just wondering about showing a trimming cross lines at the corner
of the paper to show the cutting off.
For example the paper size is A4, but the book manuscript is prepared in
Koma-script, DIV8. If the title page, the trimming cross lines are shown
