This is an issue both on screen and in the PDF.

As a quick workaround, insert a TeX box (Ctrl-L) at the beginning of the
paragraph with this code

\par{}

I mean, declaring longtable "center" is harmless with [c] property:

\begin{longtable}[c]{lcl}

when the user choose "center" in longtable property dialog window.

I have not checked the lyx source code, But I think LyX maybe do some extra
check to intenionally omit [c] setting?

The LyX inset works fine here. My steps are:

Insert > Custom Insets > Scalebox
Type "3" (cursor is already in the H-Factor input)
Click inside the Scalebox inset but outside the H-Factor input (either before
or after the H-Factor input)

Click or use right-arrow to exit the V-Factor input but stay inside the

floatrow and longtable in LyX

2017-05-27 Thread subaochen
hi all,

Longtable in LyX is centered default, and floatrow package also centered table
default, but according to
https://tex.stackexchange.com/questions/320592/floatrow-package-conflicting-with-centering-longtable
, when using floatrow and longtable together, longtable should be declared:

\begin{longtable}[c]{ccc}
...

Or, longtable will left aligned.

The problem is, LyX ommit "[c]" when inserting a longtable, I can not find
anyway to add ommited "[c]":-(. So please explicitly add "[c]" to
\begin{longtable} declaration from table property dialog window, thanks very
much!

Thanks Steve! I have learned a lot from your suggestions!

Yes, I generate PDF in order to proofread. Also, I have used child documents to
organize the book, previewing the child document is acceptable, mostly less
than 10 seconds I think.

Writing a shell to generate the PDF of the whole book is a good idea! here is
my 2 cents of the shell script:
#!/bin/sh
lyx --export pdf4 mybook.lyx

Finally, Lyx is really a great tool! I think it is impossible to finished the
book without LyX within 4 months. Thanks to LyX teams!

HTMLLabel of flex inset

that is, I want the exported file just like:

I have debuged lyx and find that In file src/insets/InsetText.cpp, function
InsetText::insetAsXHTML will check il.counters().empty(), but it failed here, I

Thanks for these detailed instructions. Can you reduce the problem to
just LyX's LyXHTML export? I guess we could look at the differences
between 2.2.0 and 2.2.2 and go from there.

Re:Re: lyxHTML format problem

2017-01-19 Thread subaochen
Hi,

The mini example is test.lyx, and lyxhtml file is test.xhtml.

How to reproduce the problem:
1, install lyxblogger from: https://github.com/jackdesert/lyxblogger, very
easy, just go to INSTALL directory and run: python setup.py install . If any
problem , you can also checkout from https://github.com/subaochen/lyxblogger,
maybe I have corrected the missing file problem.
2, install lyx 2.2.2, and run: python -m lyxblogger test.xhtml
3, in the next xterm window, fill below information( the host is just for lyx
test, so feel free to ):
   - username: lyxtestc
   - password: 12345678
   - host: lyxtest.cloudaccess.host
4 visit http://lyxtest.cloudaccess.host to see how the new post appears.
5, install lyx 2.2.0, generate test.xhtml from test.lyx again.
6 run python -m lyxblogger test.xhtml and post the test.xhtml to test site as a
new post.
7 visit http://lyxtest.cloudaccess.host again to see how the new post appears,
especially difference between lyx 2.2.2 and lyx 2.2.0.

My test result:
http://lyxtest.cloudaccess.host/?p=5 is the post by lyx 2.2.0, and
http://lyxtest.cloudaccess.host/?p=11 is the post by lyx 2.2.2.

I also got a tricky method: Alt+P can seperate the two theorem items, borrowed
from beamer:-)

Use View > Outline Pane to open the outline on the left. Make sure Table of
Contents is selected in the drop-down list (it should be the default). Use the
slider at the bottom to show maximum depth. Click on a slide you want to move
and use the up and down arrow buttons at the bottom of the outline to move it
where you want it. (Keyboard shortcuts default to Alt+P up-arrow and Alt+P
down-arrow. You can also right click on the highlighted entry in the outline.)

Thanks PhilipPirrip! Your method just works like a charm:-)

PS,Local Layout is really a good design! A real good start to develop lyx
module!

lyxtype and Format version

2016-02-21 Thread subaochen
hi all,

I have a very simple character style module as below:

Format 7
InsetLayout CharStyle:Function
LyxType charstyle
LabelString function
LatexType command
LatexName function
Font
  FamilySans
EndFont
Preamble
  \newcommand*{\function}[1]{{\texttt #1}}
EndPreamble
End

But when I change Format 7 to Format 49, lyx failed to load the module and said:
LyX: Unknown InsetLayout tag [around line 10 of file
~/.lyx/layouts/programming.module current token: 'charstyle' context: '']

I have ever tried Format version up to 34, the module works well.

So, where can I get the full information about Format version and their related
tag? Thanks in advance!

content in inset problem

2016-02-20 Thread subaochen
hi all,

I followed
http://tex.stackexchange.com/questions/54754/mdframed-digressionarrows-style-with-custom-header
and the solution works well in latex(see attchmentment for latex test
file)。But when I try to convert the tex file to a lyx module, see
attachment:mynote.module, the content that should be inside the
inset(digressionarrows mdframed) go outside, please refer the attachment for
pdf output.

Any help? Thanks in advance!
