seminar.layout for 1.1.6. It seems like the *.layout files format has

I tried with 1.1.6fix4 with the same results (from a Debian package).

Lyx fail opening LyX file

Hi,

I was working in a chapter when LyX was down. And now, when
I try to load the file, LyX appears 'eating' the CPU (near
to 100%) for a long time. I tryed to debug (with -dbg
option) but without success.

It's my first time that LyX fail and I can't recover it.

What do I need to look to try recover it?
(LyX can load the previous version, but It will mean lost
my day of work).

I can't attach my chapter right now, because has figures and
it is a little big.

Well, I solved the problem with a tricky use of tables (suggested

It looks great, it not only allow you write divisions, it solves

Using seminar

I'm using seminar in a portrait mode. It works fine, but I can't
get an special feature for the slide I require.

Seminar has an automatic page breaking, but I need that the
slide name will be printed in each new slide.
Example:
   Heading Title1 (2/2)
   ...
   ...
   Heading Title1 (2/2)
   ...
   ...
   Heading Title2
   ...

The slide of slides it doesn't matter right now, but the heading is
important.

Writting \theslideheading on the header could be the solution, but
I modify the heading locating it over the frame. Furthermore, th
\theslideheading sould be appear inside of the slide. Here is
the problem, the slide text is written over the heading name.

Any suggestion?

Thanks in advance.

PD: An example file is attached.

I'm using seminar in a portrait mode. It works fine, but I can't
get an special feature for the slide I require.

Seminar has an automatic page breaking, but I need that the
slide name will be printed in each new slide.
Example:
   Heading Title1 (2/2)
   ...
   ...
   Heading Title1 (2/2)
   ...
   ...
   Heading Title2
   ...

The slide of slides it doesn't matter right now, but the heading is
important.

Writting \theslideheading on the header could be the solution, but
I modify the heading locating it over the frame. Furthermore, th
\theslideheading sould be appear inside of the slide. Here is
the problem, the slide text is written over the heading name.

Any suggestion?

Thanks in advance.

A little problem with listings

2001-02-25 Thread German Poo Caaman~o

I wrote a little text to try listings.

If I try
\renewcommand\thelstlisting{\thechapter .\arabic{lstlisting}}% captionstyle
on LaTeX preamble (as well as Herbert's example).

When I put \lstlistoflistings the result looks like:
1 .1my Caption

instead of:
1.1 my Caption

the package's version is 0.20 (I can't connect outside to verify
a more updated version)

Thanks in advance,

Before LyX 1.1.6 the default behaviour for tabular was {\centering,

It is a bug fix. Tables shouldn't be centred by default.

I prefer the bug :-)
It coulb be nice choose the alignment for the table, because

you may channr it to fit the non-english word.
You must check however that the same letter does not appear twice
 in the same popup (AFAIU)

I noted it. I made the changes that allow work with this
way. May be some letters doesn't represent the best way to
reach an option, but it's a fist approach (I'm talking
about the es.po file that uploaded).

The only problem I see, a lot word are repeat just for the
shorcut.

 An example about default.ui
The association of a popup to a function is described in default.ui:
Item "New...|N" "buffer-new"
This is turned into a message in the po file:
 #: src/MenuBackend.C:406 src/ext_l10n.h:12 src/ext_l10n.h:17
 msgid "New...|N"
 msgstr "Nouveau...|N"
where the msgid is extracted from the default.ui.
As a counterpart to this new work to performe on the po file:
 the shortcuts ( N ) are declared in the po file and nowhere else;
you may channr it to fit the non-english word.

  000

   110

etc. (the numbers in my exampe are random).

And polinoms divisions:
x^5+x^2 : x^3+x^2 = x^2+x+1
x^5+x^4

x^4+x^2
x^4+x^3

x^3+x^2
x^3+x^2

Are there a package that could simplify this?
