Do you have the KomaScript package installed? If you run 'kpsewhich

file?

Hello,
C:\Program Files\LyX16\binkpsewhich scrartcl.cls
C:/Program Files/MiKTeX 2.7/tex/latex/koma-script/scrartcl.cls

I had some UNC issues though, when I start lyx from cmd,
C:\Program Files\LyX16\binlyx

'\\x.com\x\UserData-LN\hicham.mouline\Application Data\lyx16'
CMD.EXE was started with the above path as the current directory.
UNC paths are not supported. Defaulting to Windows directory.
configure: TeX engine needs windows-style paths in latex files

I forced lyx to start with -userdir C:\Documents and

then that works perfectly.

Thanks very much,

Document class not available

2009-03-13 Thread Hicham Mouline
Hello,

I must have missed some latex class at the installation.
When I open Help/Math:

LyX: Document class not available
The layout file requested by this document, scrartcl.layout,
is not usable. This is probably because a Latex class or
style file required by it is not available. See the Customization
doc for more information. Lyx will not be able to to produce output.

Attached is my LatexConfig.txt

[math] horiztonal formulae too long

2009-03-12 Thread Hicham Mouline
Hello,
I have a cases environment, with only 2 columns as it is intended, and my
formulae are too long in that, when I view the resulting PDF,
they are cutoff at the right-hand side of the page.
How can I get the forumla to continue in the next rows (display row not actual
case row)?

regards,

[math] system of equations errors

2009-03-02 Thread Hicham Mouline
Hello,
Lyx 1.6.1 built Sat Dec13 2008
win XP SP3

I have created a system of equations (the cases environment) with 10 columns
and
9 rows.
Many of the cells are empty.
After saving the .lyx, and on clicking on the dvi or pdf icon, I get this error
repeated 27 times:

Extra alignment tab has been changed to \cr

The description of 1 of those errors is:

 V_{0}^{N-1}
 =  bc\end{cases}\]
You have given more \span or marks than there were
in the preamble to the \halign or \valign now in progress.
So I'll assume that you meant to type \cr instead.

After this, a DVI of PDF viewer fails to appear. In other cases, it works.

math mode latex errors

2008-01-11 Thread Hicham Mouline
Hello,
Being a beginner of lyx (no knowledge of latex), I have this lyx-generated
latex source (lyxout.txt attached)
When doing view / PDF (PDFLatex), latex run 1, I get a few Missing ...
inserted
and these errors:

LaTeX Error: \begin{tabular} on input line 90 ended by \end{eqnarray*}.

...  =  d_{1}-\sigma\sqrt{T}\end{eqnarray*}

Your command was ignored.

Type I command return to replace it with another command,

or return to continue without it.

Too many }'s.

\end{tabular}

\begin{tabular}{|c|c|c||c|}

You've closed more groups than you opened.

Such booboos are generally harmless, so keep going.

LaTeX Error: \begin{document} ended by \end{tabular}.

\end{tabular}

\begin{tabular}{|c|c|c||c|}

Your command was ignored.

Type I command return to replace it with another command,

or return to continue without it.

No pdf is generated. The lyx doc contains tables, and a lot of math formulae.

Any ideas?
