Re: Problems with jpg-quality with ps2pdf
Hallo Robert, actually, this is not the problem of LyX nor LaTeX, but the problem of selected type of figure format. You made a vector figure but you save as a loosy compressed raster format. If you want the same figure as in Corel, either you use eps format (as suggested by Yago), or you use tiff with 450 or 600 dpi resolution (or you may compress as PNG). I prefer 600 dpi tiff format. You have only 10 figure, I think no problem with 600 dpi. Some eps from Corel may not be opened by some eps rendering program (like gv or epstopdf). If so, you can remove unneeded part of eps file (using text editor), for example the unknown text befor %!PS-Adobe-3.0 EPSF-3.0 and after %%EOF (the newer Corel may not produce it). Yes, I have tried to compile it before reading the INSTALL file as usually for LyX 1.4 series. Compiling LyX 1.5.0 with QT3
Dear Colleges, is it possible to compile LyX 1.5.0 stable with QT3 I have not qt4, which is required to this LyX version (beta). I have read the INSTALL file. It stated that LyX 1.5.0beta1 can only compiled with qt4. Regards, Wayan - The fish are biting. Get more visitors on your site using Yahoo! Search Marketing.

Converting lyx-file from 1.4 to 1.3.x series
Dear LyX-Users, could you please explain me a way to\ convert lyx-file backward from 1.4 series to 1.3.x series... Unfortunately I can not compile LyX in newer version of SuSE (SuSE 9.3) due to the lack of F77 compiler. In this machine I still use the old version of LyX (1.3.4). I am not sure what I did wrong, or what I should do to get this functionality back. When I tried to enable the Instant Preview by checking the box under Preference - Look and Feel - Graphics, and then try to write some greek letter in Math mode using \gamma, I see this in console: latex failed to compile 1lyxpreview.tex Have you already installed preview.sty in your latex path? Re: How to change class?
A simple question, how can someone modify a class? Is there any URL or something? Modifying a class partially is simply by using a renewcommand. But for all part of class is better by making a new class (probably, I have never done). Or by combining another special macros which can be found in CTAN.
