margin of table cells

2015-04-23 Thread Langer, Tino

Hello,

is it possible to change the margin in table cell using lyx? If found
the LaTeX-command

|\setlength\tabcolsep{1.5pt}|

, but I don't know where to insert it in lyx using the table
functionallity. It seems the command has to be used inside the
tabular-environment
(http://tex.stackexchange.com/questions/201105/reduce-cell-margins-in-a-table)

Many thanks for help! - Tino

Ok, I think I found a solution. I added '\setlength{\tabcolsep}{4pt}LyX
Document ' in an ERT directly before the table envorinment.

list of fonts

2015-04-17 Thread Langer, Tino

Hello,

I have a small question using additionally installed fonts with lyx. So
I installed the font Frutiger an tried them successfully compiling the
following .tex-file

-- snip --
\documentclass[english]{article}
\usepackage[T1]{fontenc}
\usepackage[latin9]{inputenc}
\makeatother
\usepackage{babel}
\begin{document}
\fontfamily{pfr}\selectfont
Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consetetur sadipscing elitr, sed diam
nonumy eirmod tempor invidunt ut labore et dolore magna aliquyam erat,
sed diam voluptua. At vero eos et accusam et justo duo dolores et
\end{document}
-- snap --

The question is: As the new font FGrutiger doesn't appear at the font
list in Dokument -- Preferentes -- Fonts - how to set them as the
standard font for the document? As a workarround I added the command
'\fontfamily{pfr}\selectfont' at an TEX-Environment at the beginning of
the lyx-file - but is this the right way?

Many thanks for help! - Tino

Hi Scott.

yes I did. After some additional search I'm not sure the way I installed
the font was the right one. I followed this hints:

http://tex.stackexchange.com/questions/95452/how-to-install-a-font-in-windows

But I also found an very old package 'frutiger' - but this one I can not
install using the miketex package manager :-( Do you have some hints how
to get it working? Using my current way the footnotes, headlines, page
numbers don't use the frutiger font :-(

Hi Tino,

you're using a display with very high resolution, the so called Retina-display.
LyX isn't ready to display the contents of the work area and the icons on
a Mac with Retina display. So, no, there is no option to enable the display
with full screen resolution on your Mac. You have to wait for a new version
of LyX.

Problems in 'fig2pdftex.py'

2010-08-13 Thread Langer, Tino
Hello Lyx-Users,

i have some problems using .fig-files in my lyx document. Whenever I try to
compily my file I get an error message that the is an error in the
script-file  fig2pdftex.py.

On the console i see the following message:
NameError: name `mkstemp` is not defined

On the dialog box in lyx I see:
Bei der Ausführung von
python -tt _some_path_/bin/../Ressources/s
ist ein Fehler aufgetreten.

I added the fig2dev.exe file to path to get the script fig2pstex.py running.

It seems that there are parts of python missing. Is there somebody out there
who can give mit some hints to get ist working?

I use lyx 1.6.7 on windows. (no alt-installer)
