delay with text
Can You, please, help in the following problem? I often observe a delay in appaering a letter on the screen after choosing it on my keyboard, when LyX using. Sometimes it is Ok., then a dealy returns and I quickly choose buttons on my keyboard and the letters appear or disappear slowly on the screen. I am using in LyX in Windows XP where the system goes properly, without any sepcial problems. Best regards, Marek Kociński

Can You, please, answer me on following questions? 1. Why in my text long spaces between words appear, it seems especially after using zoom? In Yap they are yet ok. on the other hand... 2. Since I have high myopia it would be useful me to have really large buttons (as in Excel for example...). I am afraid it is not possible. Am I right? And yet anothe question: is there LyX on CDLive versions of Linux? Best regards, Marek Kociński

I need HELP!
I am trying hard to use LyX instead of Scientific Workplace but I have an irriatating problem. After a short time of writing (Title, author, abstract, and so on) the dvi, pdf buttons don't work. I just click and nothing happens. What the heck is going on!! best regards, Marek Kociński

Why using Scientific Workpalce by display button I can get qet a code
\begin{equation*}x+y=z\end{equation*} but in LyX it goes like this:
\[x+y=z\]And LyX seems not to recognize equation*.
Is there a possibility of getting a code $$x+y=z$$ using a button to
display and writing inside x+y=z without help of TeX code box?

If I have a file in Lyx made in Windows than without any problem can I edit it in LyX in Linux and the other way round? Does the interface of LyX in Linux looks the same as in Windows (the same buttons, commands and so on...)? When insatalling LyX in Windows I must have for example MikTex also insatlled. In Linux when I take LyX grom repository teher is no neeed to worry about TeX compilator? And still one question: using LyX I get a file with a courious ending .lyx By exporting I can immediately get a .tex file but why this .lyx? Can I send to a mathematical journal, say, article.lyx file? best regards, Marek Kociński
