Filename Latex (plain) export

2008-05-21 Thread Michael Brunneder

Hello!

I've the following problem. I want to export my lyx file that contains
some included latex files to plain latex. But the the export option
suggests as filename the path and name of the first occuring included
latex file. Here is a small example.

New lyx file: newfile1.lyx
File - Export - Latex (plain)
then a file called newfile1.tex is created - as expected

now: Insert - File - Child Document ...
e.g latex1.tex
again: File - Export - Latex (plain)
now latex1.tex is suggested as file name - why??

I'm missing something or is this a bug?

Lyx 1.5.5 WinXP

Thanks for your help.
Michael

Re: List of Symbol (Nomenclature) AND List of Abbreviations (Glossary)

2008-04-22 Thread Michael Brunneder
Thanks G. Milde for your reply. In the meantime I've solved this issue
with the package glossaries. It's very powerful but requires to
generate the final document version with a plain latex export and the
command line.

Hi!

I'm writing a thesis in Lyx and I've the following problem. I need a
List of Symbols (Nomenclature) and a separate List of Abbreviations. The
Nomenclature is working fine as described in the Lyx user guide. But now
I would need more or less a second nomenclature to realize my List of
Abbreviations. Any easy way to achive this?

# texdoc nomencl

this will open the nomencl documentation (nomencl.pdf) on a texlive system.
Section 5.1 Subgroups will help further.

Unfortunately, you cannot pass options to nomencl with LyX but this should
not stand in the way here...

generate the "final" document version with a plain latex export and the

Can't get nomenclature index working

2007-09-30 Thread Michael Brunneder

Hi!

I want to insert a nomenclature index, but in the DVI output, at the
position where i've inserted the index, appears nothing.
Lyx does not throw any errors, so I guess all packages and commands are
available.
I've also checked the Lyx source code if all commands are inserted as
described in the nomencl docu. There is also no *.nlo file created.

Is there any trick?

Windows XP, Lyx 1.5.1, MikTeX 2.6

A restart of Lyx has fixed the problem.
