change the lyx commands

Hi

I'm using a Persian package (XePersian) with Lyx. There is some Tex commands
that defined differently in Lyx and XePersian. Like: 

\lr : This command is used in XePersian for  "Left to Right or romanText".
But for this purpose Lyx use \textLR. 

How can change this command in Lyx and turn it into \lr?

No; Texlive doesn't include Lyx. You must download it via lyx.org.
Yes; your packages of Texlive 2007 will update when you install Texlive 2008
from DVD. But in synaptic you still texlive2007 debs. Its not important.

would this remove the old texlive stuff at the appropriate place?
by the way, does the texlive2008 DVD contain Lyx1.6.x? Could not find it
(that it, don't know how to search for it)

I was updating my Miktex this morning. After update (with error for lm) I
encounter this problem.

It is difficult to answer your question without more information. Usually
this problem occures when LaTeX do not make a pdf file at all. One example
of what can produce this problem is the accidental deletion of frame-end
on the last frame in a beamer-presentation. However, there are many more...

So include information on the document class, what elements are included in
your document, and what you are trying to do. And any other information
you think may be relevant :).

As a default, Lyx run on Miktex in windows. Can I run it on the texlive
distribution. I love Texlive.
