Is there a way to convert LyX output to Adobe PDF? Without going through ASCII
export (and losing curly quotes)? LyX is marvelous for writing and printing.
Now if I can find a way to transfer files to non-LyXers, all will be well.

I'd recommend ps2pdf.

Lyx tmp files

1999-05-18 Thread Silvan Kaiser

Hi folks!

I'm new to this list and looking forward to find new questions and answers
about WYSIWYM Lyx :-)

I've got a problem with the freshly installed 1.0.2 Lyx . I used the older
0.10.7 and 0.12.? versions with great happiness but this new installation is
making me wonder.

At first i'll describe what happens:
After writing a document i'm previewing it to check the results of my work.
Once i've done this lyx does not update the temporary created files for this
document. This means regardless of the changes made to the document previewing,
printing and exporting always result in a ps file based upon THE FIRST VIEWED
document.
So far only closing the lyx session and deleting the temporary folders created
in /tmp has been successful in forcing lyx to create an actual version of the
lyx document.
I'm running lyx on a linux machine, by the way.

Does anybody know the reason for this behavior?

Another Problem is that the PrintIndex Tag doesn't seem to have any effect,
although the label is shown in the lyx document no index is created in the
exports.

have a nice day
Silvan
