Superscript for citations

Is it possible to get something like numbered superscripts for citations?

Thanks

portable installation

2009-05-06 Thread Sophie (itsme213)
I'm looking at the instructions at
http://wiki.lyx.org/Windows/PortableInstallation

I have put USBTeX on my memory stick, and copied C:\Program Files\Lyx16 to
that stick. But the installation instructions say to copy some tl-portable
files from the TexLive DVD, which I have not used.

If anyone has got this combination working (USBTeX with Lyx16), could you
please share what you did? I will update the wiki after I get it to work
myself.

Thanks!

How to move bottom page number to top on chapter-heading pages?

2009-04-22 Thread Sophie (itsme213)
I'm using memoir/book, mostly default settings. Page numbering is at the
top, except on chapter heading pages where it appears at the bottom.

Is there a simple way (LaTex-wise) to have all page numbers at the top?

Thanks!

How to adjust float figure behavior?

2009-04-05 Thread Sophie (itsme213)
At the moment, when I use a float figure it typically appears before the
point where it is introduced in the text, often appears in the middle/end of
the *previous* section.

Is there a way to get float figures to appear at or after the point in the
text where they are introduced, even if that means the top of the *next*
page?

Thanks!

 We already have this

 Oh wonderful !!!

you could shout a little bit to have it available
 in LyX 1.6.2.

If you say so ... !!! PLASE

That would be another totally useless feature. Just like the change
tracking feature currently available, but unfortunately totally useless
for Real Work (tm), as it is just a braindead clone of the
functionality provided by MS Word Co..

Rather strong wording ... Change tracking is useful, although it does not
substitute for diff-like document comparison.

So some form of compare 2 documents (integrating latex2diff?) would be
great. Where those 2 documents came from (svn history, file system,
somewhere else) should be a separate issue.

Diff two versions of document

2009-01-13 Thread Sophie (itsme213)
Is there a way to diff two versions of a document?

Change tracking shows individual edits, so loses the macro view that a good
diff gets.

Thanks.

That sounds interesting. I know that LyXLauncher does some magic, but

what LyXLauncher does to the environment?
