problem with include file
Hi, I created a separate title page and included it in my thesis. Viewing the title page separately shows it to be single page but after including and seeing the whole thesis shows the title page to be two pages. What could be the problem. Why does it not produce different output in separate and consolidated case. Thanks, Vaibhav -- Vaibhav Srivastava Graduate Student, Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, North Carolina State University, Raleigh,NC [EMAIL PROTECTED] Phone: 919 412 4073
Re: problem with include file
Problem has been solved. Had different margin settings for the parent file and the include file Vaibhav Srivastava wrote: Hi, I created a separate title page and included it in my thesis. adding rows/cols on the edges to tables
Adding rows / cols near the edge of an existing table gives a small space between the present table and the added row/col. Is there a way to avoid it. It is kinda annoying. thesis initial pages numbering and title page
HI all, a) Does anyone have a template for the title page of a thesis. Is there a easier way to do it the lyx way rather than using latex tempates b) It is required that arabic numbering starts only from the chapters and pages before that are numbered in the roman numerals . How can that be done. I am using the article class for my thesis. c) How does one force something to start from a fresh page. Inserting a page break does not work. Any global switch for images
Hi all, Is there any global switch whereby one can turn off loading of images in DVI view. Since images in my case are big and on the network drive hence it takes a long time to build. Re: Previewing images inside Lyx
Thanks ..I went thru the lit and there was a command lyx -dbg graphics. It showed all that could be done on my system. It is able to give a preview of .png files. So guess I neede to install converters for other formats to work. Thanks all for their reponses. Does anybody have an idea. http://wiki.lyx.org/LyX/FiguresInLyX Install the ImageMagick package and make sure that your PATH environment variable has C:\Program Files\ImageMagick-6.2.1-Q16 at the front. Equation labelling
Hi , I am new to Lyx. I have a problem with Lyx in equation labeling in the math mode. I use the version 1.3.1 In UserGuide it has shown how to label equations and when I do Insert-Label from the math mode in the users guide and enter a label then it works by showing (mathed:label). However when I am working with my document and do the same then it does not do. However if I copy and paste from user guide onto my document then it shows that. for eg 2-1=1 (mathed:first-equn) would show in the user guide and if I paste on my document then also it will work But it will not work if I wrote 2-1=1(in mat mode of course ) and then did Insert-Label-mathed:first-equn Please tell me what could be going wrong Thanks -- Vaibhav Srivastava Graduate Student, Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, North Carolina State University, Raleigh,NC [EMAIL PROTECTED] Phone: 919 835 1994(R) 919 513 2327(O)
