Re: Is there anyone using Lyx for Japanese with Linux?
Hi Gerhard and lyx users, First of all, I must apologize Gerhard Schuck. I was very sorry. _o_ I'm now using Japanese on cjk-lyx running on SuSE 7.3 for Sparc without any change to cjl-lyx sources. Yes, I was wrong. It must come from some difference in SuSE 7.3 from those of RedHat 6.2, 7.2, SuSE 7.1-ja. I've not double checked what the differences are. However, yes, it DOES work on SuSE 7.3 Linux. Kenji

Re: Is there anyone using Lyx for Japanese with Linux?
Thanks Miyata-san. I tried to find M.K's patch from google, but his web site seems to be closed. Do you know where can I get his patch to LyX 1.0.3? I'm running RH 6.2ja, and added locale data for ja_JP.eucJP from the distribution of RH 7.2ja (ftp version). Kenji
Re: Is there anyone using Lyx for Japanese with Linux?
I forgot to reply this list. Thanks Gerhard! I checked that web page, and yes, it's great! I'm now downloading SuSE distribution... Kenji ---BeginMessage--- Hi, I'm using CJK-LyX with Japanese on SuSE. It works fine. There are rpm for everything necessary (CJK-LyX, fonts, input ...) available for SuSE. On Mike Fabian's (maintainer of the CJK-version of SuSE) homepage there is plenty of information about every aspect of installation and configuration, which is also for other distributions very helpful. Have a look at: http://www.suse.de/~mfabian/suse-cjk/suse-cjk.html Hope it helps Gerhard Schuck [EMAIL PROTECTED] ---End Message---

Re: Is there anyone using Lyx for Japanese with Linux?
Sigh... No Japanese Linux user of LyX here... Sorry to make noise. Kenji ---BeginMessage--- If so, please let me know the situation where you are running. I tried lyx-1.1.6 with the pathces at cellular.phys.pusan.ac.kr with Redhat Linux 6.2. I can read the manual pages in Japanese, but don't know how to write Japanese document. When I tried kinput2, I got an error message like LyXCodeConv::lyxwctomb::lyxwctomb Cannot convert wc to mb. Kenji ---End Message---
Re: CHINPUT GB2312 LYX (Was:Is there anyone using Lyx for Japanese with Linux?)
Please tell me what's the trick or is LyX only for one-byte character sets? Well, I suppose none will reply this, so let me try it. Someone in Korea, sorry forgot his/her name, made it possible to read and cramed to write CJK documents. You can read his/her web page which I quated in my first mail. In my case, I changed a line, if I still have clear memory, in a source where Korean character set was hard coded (soryy, I forgot the precise place). Kenji
