I'm rather inexperienced with LaTeX and LyX, trying to use the latter to write a presentation for a class. I'm using the amsart document class, because it makes the handout look the best, but at the top of each page, it prints the title as "englishTopological Vector Spaces" instead of "Topological Vector Spaces". Is there any way I can fix this, or get rid of the header entirely (I don't really need it)?
Also, is there a way to remove or lessen the empty space above the title on the first page of the document? I'm having trouble figuring that out.
