Fwd: Output track changes in pdf with lyx 1.6 error

2010-01-18 Thread Birte Schoettker
Hi all,

please find below a description of the problems I encounter when trying to
print a pdf from a lyx 1.6 document where changes were tracked.
- packages soul and xcolor are installed (Uwe below had that suggestion, but
I had them installed already)
- OS is Windows
- psi works

the error message I get in lyx when trying to create a pdf reads as follows:
Argument of \NAT@@citetp has an extra }.
Paragraph ended before \NAT@@citetp was complete.
Extra }, or forgotten \endgroup.
Argument of \...@citex has an extra }.
Paragraph ended before \...@citex was complete.
Missing \endgroup inserted.
Missing \endgroup inserted.
Missing } inserted.
Missing \endgroup inserted.
Missing } inserted.
You can't use `\end' in internal vertical mode.
Missing } inserted.
Missing } inserted.
Missing } inserted.
Extra \endgroup.

I assume it has to do with headings or references have been deleted...

Thank you very much indeed for suggestions.

regards,
Birte

So you need to install the LaTeX-packages soul and xcolor. What is your
operating system? On Windows, simply open MiKTeX's Settings (available via
the Start menu). There set the option install missing packages on the fly
to yes (probably this option is already set). Finally, open an Internet
connection and reconfigure LyX. All LaTeX-packages needed by LyX will then
be installed automatically.

In case you are on Linux, use the package manager of TeXLive to install the
packages.

Hi Uwe,

thanks a lot for your patient and detailed reply.
OS is Windows.
I have both packages installed.

One of my three documents worked finally inclduign to show the tracked
changes.
Still it seems that the changes I received from someone else in the two out
of three lyx documents (which before the changes were made converted to pdf
without error messages) are now packed with error messages. I will have a
closer look at the error messages of the two other lyx documents later today
and might post them here if I do not get anywhere.
- I have read that e.g. deleting references might cause problems.

Thank you again.
Birte

So you need to install the LaTeX-packages "soul" and "xcolor". What is your
