Line breaks and cursor behavior in 1.5.0

I tried out 1.5.0 on an Intel Mac 10.4.8. I see that the behavior of
the cursor around line breaks is much better in 1.5.0 than in 1.4x,
but I think I may have found a slight irregularity. In 1.4.0, the
cursor would get stuck on a line break, period. It was impossible to
up-arrow or left-arrow through one. The left arrow now works in 1.5.0,
but the up arrow gets stuck if there is more than one line break in a
row. Strangely, the left arrow still manages to pass through the line
breaks.
