Hi, among the several bibliographic styles made available by LyX and which you can select from the bibliograpich style menu there is also one that provides a very similar effect to the one you would like to obtain: humannat. Author names are always put on a separated line after which follows the other bibliographic data beginning with the publication year. These are three examples of some references I have put in a publication formatted using this style: Bishop, A. P., N. A. Van House, and B. P. Buttenfield, eds. 2003b. *Digital Library Use. Social Practice in Design and Evaluation*. Cambridge (MA): The MIT Press. Borgman, C. L. 1996. Why are online catalogs still 'hard' to use? *Journal of the American Society for Information Science,* 47(7):493–503. De Rosa, C. 2005. *College students' perceptions of libraries and information resources : a report to the OCLC membership*. Dublin (Ohio): OCLC Online Computer Library Center. [Online]. Available from: http://www.oclc.org/reports/pdfs/studentperceptions.pdf [Last checked 2008-08-26]. As you can see hummanat also manage titles in italic for journals and books.
