I use Windows 10 (64 bit). I reinstalled the ttf fonts of lyx, which worked for 
me. I did not have this problem in my previous laptop with Windows 7.

Can you please send an example .lyx file to the list with a simple "Pi"
that does not show up for you? What operating system do you use?
