Stix fonts

2017-06-04 Thread F M Salter
Hi,

With texlive 2017 containing the stix two fonts, will they be one of
the font choices readily available in LyX 2.3?

trying to get stix fonts working

2015-04-14 Thread Neal Becker
Some years ago I tried this and I think got it to work - but now
trying on a new machine under fedora 21 (lyx-2.1.3)

I found some old discussion and tried setting:

\usepackage{unicode-math}
\setmathfont{xits-math.otf}

(the older discussion said \setmatfont{XITS Math}, but that just gives font
not found)

Then running lualatex.

When I put a \Delta_f in my document, then I get no error or warning - but
when the pdf is displayed, the '\Delta' is invisible.

Without the
\setmatfont{xits-math.otf}

the \Delta is displayed.

Any ideas?

Assuming I can find XITS (I'm using fedora linux - stix is a standard (set) of
packages available on fedora), then what is the procedure? Go to document/
settings/fonts, choose non-tex fonts, then what?

Came across this in a search here at work.

All glyphs have been created and they're now doing a design review
``...establishing consistent sizes for various glyphs based on square
or circle designsConfidence remains high that we will release the
fonts some time in April.''

Anyway, thought people might find it of interest.
