Re: /tmp/... etc not found Success
Hi I believe that is the one I am obtained and am using. I am down loading it (again?) and will try to install in tonight. I will record that rpm expansion. I am not too familiar with rpm so I might have missed something important (such as it not installing). The forms.h it put in place (?) has a date stamp of Jan 1998 and a FL_VERSION of 0; so I might have failed to actually get it in. I also have some problems with the new binary Xfroms; they want tetex-latex and GLIBC_6_1 or some such that SuSE doesn't seem to have. I don't know if this matters. My compiles have similiar problems. Ray Hello, Try to get the xforms rpm from ftp://moni.msci.memphis.edu/pub. The problem is that, since the version numbers of the rpms clash, the rpm tool might decide that update is not necessary. As far as version is concerned, you can use rpm -qi xforms to see the date of packaging of the different rpms. Hope this helps. JMarc

Hi I will do what you say and send the results to you (JMarc) tonight. I will also show you 6.1 requirements from the binaries I obtained. Would it be better to send the logs to you directly or to the list? I _believe_ in debugging scripts and logs; it is too easy to misscommunicate when people (including myself) describe what happens. I learned this fact long ago when I was an electronics tech in the Navy; even the most highly trained people would make mistakes/misrepresentation/oversights when trying to describe problems. I found out that I did as well. BTW: did you know that your email is reaching me twice? Ray Jean-Marc Lasgouttes wrote: I know nothing about the glibc2.1 or Suse things.
