assuming you want to have some special characters in your LyX document: Have a look at http://www.lyx.org/help/symbols/textcomp.html If you'd like to use it, don't forget to mark the entry as LaTeX-code (Ctrl+L should be a hot key for it). If you are interested in more symbols there is "The Comprehensive LaTeX Symbol List" (by Scott Pakin) available. I can email it if you want me to (pdf-file, about 1 MB). hth stephan -- Stephan E.
