Ask for help about usage of LYX

2010-11-15 Thread 李琼
Dear sir or madam,

Thank you for reading the email.
I am puzzled about changing the size of the long equations.
Some equations are a little longer than given space, so I want to make it a
little shorter by changing the size of charaters and the spacing between the
characters.
How can I do it ?

Look forward to your reply.

Best Wishes!

Yours sincerely, Li

Have you tried selecting the formula inset, and Edit Text style
Custom and change the size of the font? It's also available as the
'ab' button on the toolbar.

I believe it would be helpful if you were more specific. Did you
settle on the document class you want to use? For this class, did you
find an English or some other language template? For this template,
did you try to change in Documents Settings Language the
language to Chinese? And do you want to have it available in File
New from template or you simply want to write the document in the
chosen document class?

Chinese Latex is a tricky business, I would suggest that you first
make sure your latex installation has the right fonts by compiling a
simple latex file with Chinese characters directly. In this way, at
least you would know if lyx is producing the right latex code if you
have problems.

Cheers,
Bo
