Bibtex or bibitem?
Hi, A certain journal requires the references to be included as bibitems in the same latex file as the entire article. What do I do if I already have these references in a bibtex file? Is there a way to translate entries from a bibtex file to a specific format and then reinclude them as items in the bibliography? Nice or dirty solutions are welcome. When I think of copying and pasting from the pdf back to lyx and then marking every italic and bold I get depressed. Or maybe I should just submit to another journal? Am I missing some obvious or known solution? Thanks Miki

That's what *.bbl file is about. Paste it into ERT to your document, and you are all set. More specifically: * Generate a pdf file with pdflatex; this creates a temporary bbl file in folder /tmp/ * To find path to bbl file in hidden /tmp/ folder, in LyX do Prefs Paths and browse/drill down in temporary directory * Open the LaTeX file you've exported from your LyX file, delete the two lines that concern the BibTeX generated bibliography, and paste in the bbl file * Submit this revised tex file to the journal Bruce
