Hi
I am using LyX 1.6.6.1 on OSX and I have an issue where I can't insert a pdf
image (loaded as a "file" "external material") into an image float. If I
place it as a stand alone object, outside an image float the document
compiles fine. But, if I place it inside an image float LyX complains with

Hi!
I'm using the RH9 rpm with qt for lyx 1.3.3.
I have 2 figure floats (eps) and it seems that the last figure overlaps with
the first when printing or viewing the document. The figures are fine
in Lyx and they are fine when viewing them outside of Lyx with
ghostview.

I hoped this would go away with 1.2.2 - but I've just built the new tarball
and :-(
When I insert a .eps file into a figure float, it looks fine on the lyx
screen, but I get two errors on .ps output - one complaining of a missing '}'
immediately followed by one compliainig of an unnecessary '}'

Hi,
I am having problem with a figure float in my final paper that I am
doing for school. So far my paper is about 40+ pages and I have about 15
figure floats. I am having problems with this one in particular. I have
inserted a figure float, and within the figure float I inserted the .eps
file, c
Yup, tried postscript, pdf no luck...

Maybe a stupid question - but what's the idea behind putting a float
(that is supposed to be pushed around by LaTeX!) into a footnote?

Hello,
I've wrote a test file with an image float inside and a footnote.
If I do a view postscript, the image float appears after the footnote
in the foot header.
If I set float placement to !h!t!b!p, everything is fine.
Maybe it's a Latex bug ?
Is use lyx-1.1.6fix3 with the latest stable tetex d

Hello,
I have removed all the HFill of my figures and now it works.
But I still think there's a little problem with the HFill
symbol and the float figure. Indeed, it works fine with a float
table.

Couldn't you just use Layout/Paragraph/General/Center ? Works for me at
least.
Hello,
I've found a little problem with figure float:
1 - insert a figure float
2 - insert the caption for the figure
3 - insert a figure in the figure float
4 - at each side of the figure, insert a HFill
when you export this document to ps, the figure is put
next to the right side a not in th

Hi list
Thanks for your tip Juergen, the commands \\ and \caption{} works fine, if
the caption if on the bottom of the table, but the problem is that the
caption must be on top of the table (faculty rules), and if I issue:
\\ \caption{The Caption}

Hello list
OK, I have a long table, inside a float, and it won't split in two
pages. When I got it out of the float, it works just fine, breaking just in
the row I've said so.
I even had make two tables out of my original table, put both of them inside
a float, and put a \newpage between them a
