Graphics in Beamer/Lyx under Windows XP

When I insert graphics (jpg, eps, or pdf) into a beamer presentation (using Lyx), it works fine under Linux (Ubuntu/gnome 10.04), but under Windows XP (sp3) the same Lyx file (compiled with Lyx 1.6.7.4) generates numerous errors: undefined control sequence, missing number treated as zero, etc.
