Hi all,
When I do:
lyx --export text mydoc.lyx
it creates mydoc.txt, but no matter how I change the margins in the LyX file,
the text file has line lengths of about 62 characters instead of the 90 I'd
like. This is important because I will be paying for editing by the page.
Anyone know how

All I have available at the moment is LyX 2beta2 for Mac, but in
LyX--preferences---Output---General, I have an option Output line length
___. (the default is 65--close to what you estimated) This seems to do what
