Thanks, Rich Well, if you don't need word-lowcase, you could also change the binding on Alt-c down to word-lowcase partial. I'm not an emacs user, but I suspect that would be more natural for one. Typing in the command buffer works, and after doing it once you can recycle it for the rest of the session, but you'd have to do it again and again if this was something you used often. Paul

I'm running LyX-2.3.0 on Slackware-14.2. Most keyboard shortcuts work, but some do not. For example, on the Edit menu -> Text -> lowercase is the chord 'Alt-c down' but that does nothing. Do I need to enter that chord in the settings to have it work? Rich
