Hi,

I am using the new LyX 1.6.7. I have downloaded and installed the new 
beamer package 3.10 (also made a reconfiguration). When I try to enter 
text in a section or frame element, LyX crashes. Tried it out with 
diffrent documents (e.g. beamers own LyX template 
generic-ornate-15min-45min.de).


I am using the windows version. My OS is Windows 7 (64 Bit).

   when I try to compile the beamer template provided with LyX, the
pdf is not generated but a number of errors occur. I have found that
the problem is due to the recent version of the package geometry.sty
provided with MikTeX 2008. The bug can be fixed with some line of TeX
code before the \documentclass command, but, while this is easy in
.tex documents, I found no way to fix the bug by using LyX. As a
consequence, beamer slides cannot be rendered in LyX. I hope
developers will soon fix the problem with a patch or a workaround.

 As a consequence, beamer slides cannot be rendered in LyX. I hope

beamer package from the MikteX distribution and installing in my local
tex folder the newest version of beamer (3.10). After reconfiguration,
the files are compiled.
