I'm glad that worked for you. I don't have much experience with LyX on Windows
so I don't know if I can help you (that's why it's good to respond to the

Using Procmon - the installer is trying to access mirrors that no longer have
the files (or do not exist in the first place).
MikTeX can be downloaded from: http://miktex.org/ - includes a set of mirrors in
the dropdown
