Re: Urgent: Latex error with version 1.6.4.1
Guys, I've found a solution for this shittiest error finally. There were nothing wrong with the software, just a little thing that often you don't think. The fact is that to write my thesis a friend of mine passed me a folder with a thesis already done. In this folder there were files model with the right graphic settings. So, I just overwrite my stuff with them. But, I didnt' eliminate the backup/temporary files (whatever you call them) and once I tried to compile them, the error showed up. So, I just eliminated them and all work perfectly. I really didn't think of this...so, I'm apologize for your time spent! Bye Nicola

The error message is referred to the last row. Put the cursor next to the Input box. Check that the paragraph type is Standard. This sort of error often happens when a document is included in the middle of an enumeration or other special paragraph type. Ideally, LyX could avoid this by closing the current paragraph before outputting the Input command, but currently it doesn't. Helge Hafting

Urgent: Latex error with version 1.6.4.1
Dear Sir or Madam, I'm writing my thesis with LyX (version 1.6.4.1 for Mac OS) but I have a problem when I try to compile the DVI file. The error message is: *LaTeX Error: \begin{itemize} on input line 313 ended by \end{document}.* * * I have installed MacTex2008 and with other documents I can create DVI files. I tried to look for some informations about this problem also in your archive mail but nothing. Thanks in advance Nicola

Can you post the document? If not, I suggest that you try to narrow down the document to the offending piece of text. I often troubleshoot this by copying portions of the document into a new document until I find the bit that is broken. If you find that, sometimes you can fix it by inspection (viewing latex source can occasionally prove helpful). You can also try posting that smaller section as a LyX file to the list...
