Lyx 2.1.2 same prob of other version. What is the problem?

2014-10-08 Thread renato
Hi,
updating my source.list (on Debian Jessie), I' ve installed the
version on object, with apt-get. So, I think the version is
really standard.

But, also with this version, I'm unable to create any
document.
I think the problem could be on the various path.

Can someone help me? I'm soo really discouraged :-(

TIA

Renato

I don't understand what you mean here. In debian Jessie, 2.0.6 is the
current version of LyX. They are well shy of 2.1.2.

You need to provide more information before anyone can help. What makes
you think it is a path problem? Debian is pretty good at getting that
set up correctly. What was your first error message.

You can send me questions off list. I don't use the debian version of
lyx since it is too outdated, but I have used debian and lyx for a long
time.

It is difficult to answer your question without more information. Usually
this problem occures when LaTeX do not make a pdf file at all. One example
of what can produce this problem is the accidental deletion of frame-end
on the last frame in a beamer-presentation. However, there are many more...

So include information on the document class, what elements are included in
your document, and what you are trying to do. And any other information
you think may be relevant :).

I was updating my Miktex this morning. After update (with error for lm) I
encounter this problem.

If latin modern is broken in your LaTeX distribution and you try to
use that font in a document, you migth get an empty document, I guess.

First priority should then be to repair your miktex installation.
I am not familiar with miktex so I the only help I am able to
give you is to remove it and install it again. Maybe someone else
are more familiar with mixtex and can help you more.

Check Document - LaTeX Log after receiving this message. Chances are
fairly high that an error occurred while compiling the document, in
which case there should be a message (probably fairly late in the log file).

Try to run update MiKTeX again. Then regenerate MiKTeX's File name database and the formats. This is
done in MiKTeX's settings program by pressing the buttons refresh FNDB and update formats. When
this doesn't help, please report this bug to the MiKTeX developers.
