I am assuming umask is properly set, since it works as expected, when
accessing files through terminal emulation. Should i set special umask
parameters within the lyx setup?

access privileges of new files

2006-08-04 Thread pol

As i save a lyx doc with assigned access privileges
 -rw-rw-r--
with a new name, resulting access privileges of the new file are
 -rw-r--r--
although the directory is properly set, so that when copying a file marked
as -rw-rw-r-- or 'touching' new files at the command line prompt, one gets
a new file marked as -rw-rw-r--

It appears LyX always creates new files with privileges -rw-r--r--
Is that a bug?

I am using a few fancy users with overlapping roles, instrumental to keep
track of different kind of interests of mine, that lyx feature is very
annoynig.

Thank you for your help
