I inserted two images into my Lyx document. Both of them are approximately the same size: about 1500*2000 resolution, 5*7 document size, 300 pixels/inch. The pdf output shows the first as it is supposed to be (it fits in nicely). But the second goes crazy; as if I inserted 10 times bigger image.

I've been playing with the same export. So far I've been really happy. Rather than using Calibre to do the conversion, you might take a look at Sigil. It creates a much cleaner ePub (though Calibre is more than an adequate solution). Thanks for the tip - Sigil looks great. For right now,
