I got aware of that after switching machines and installing LyX 1.6.4. 
from scratch.

the instant preview ignores some of the indices. E.g., $\Phi_{K}$ is 
correctly displayed whereas $\Phi_{\mathbb{Q}}$ ignores the index. The 
source is copied from the source code window.


Can this be amended?

I am using LyX 1.6.4. on WinVista.
