can I change the language settings for my document? Everytime I switch from
English to German, LyX (or LaTeX?) complains as soon as I enter the
Postscript preview mode. I guess I'm missing some LaTeX

I think you are on to something here. When I just tried it again it suddenly
worked - magically. The same thing wouldn't work all weekend and I
