shortcuts to apply text style

With Lyx 1.6.3 I'm trying to define a shortcut which will apply the
logical markup text side CharStyle:Code.

I think that the command is:
 textstyle-apply CharStyle:Code

but it doesn't do anything; what am I doing wrong?

if you look in the lfuns manual you can see that textstyle-apply does
not have any arguments...
what you are looking for is flex-insert CharStyle:Code.
