Re: truncated sections

2009-07-18 Thread Beny Spira
Hi JMarc

I would like to create a list that follows the order: 1.1.1, 1.12, 1.1.3 and
so on. I understand form your post that these are regarded as titles and a
long list of this kind is therefore forbidden. Is that right? Is there an
easy way to alter the code?

Thanks,

Beny

3 or 4 entries should have continued into the next page of the DVI or PDF
 export, but they are missing.

Subsection have special code to forbid page breaks after them (to avoid a
 title
at the end of a page). They are designed for what you do? Why do you need
 this?

If you can do it in LaTeX---and you can do almost anything in
LaTeX---then you can do it in LyX. In this case, it will probably
require writing your own layout for the list you want. Really, you're
just changing the numbering, so this could be done with a bit of ERT,
probably---though there are some weird issues with ERT and lists.

The first question is whether you can have a go at the LaTeX, or whether
we need to do that first.

truncated sections

2009-07-16 Thread Beny Spira
Hi there

I am writing an extended CV with heaps of subsections and subsubsections.
The problem is that every time the amount of susbsubsections exceed a
certain number the list of subsubsections run though the margins and is
truncated when exported to DVI or PDF.

Is this a bug? If not, how can it be avoided?

Thanks

Beny
