un-numbered sections in the TOC?
One more question (I did not fin in the wiki...) Is it possible to insert a section without numbering, and asking that it is put in the table of contents? In my case, I would like to add an annex at the end of my thesis, which is obviously not a part itself, and I would like it to be in the TOC, with no number... Sophie

Look up \frontmatter, \mainmatter and \backmatter. They take care of many of these problems (and do specific numbering, too). JMarc
