just felt like letting you know that the latest edition of

 H.P.Gumm/M.Sommer: Einführung in die Informatik,
  7. Auflage, Oldenbourg Verlag, 2006, has just appeared.

On pages 72/73 (out of 871) it contains a paragraph on LyX
together with a screenshot of LyX 1.4.2.
