The purpose of this is to find out if aspell is not working or if the LyX connection is not working. If Aspell doesn't work at the command prompt as outlined above, then it is not installed correctly (and LyX is not at fault). If Aspell does work at the command line, then try this; Run in LyX1.3.7-Edit-Reconfigure This should not have to be done. But it takes little time and is easy, so I think it should be tried. The purpose of this is to find out if aspell is not working or if the LyX connection is not working. If Aspell doesn't work at the command prompt as outlined above, then it is not installed correctly (and LyX is not at fault). If Aspell does work at the command line, then try this; Run in LyX1.3.7->Edit->Reconfigure This "should" not have to be done. But it takes little time and is easy, so I think it should be tried. You might have reinstalled something after the LyX initial installation. Regards, Stephen
