I suspect this is what you lack here. JMarc

Is this about the LyX window or the PDF output? > No change switching to different fonts. For PDF in a screen-viewer, you may try using "non-TeX fonts" with XeTeX/LuaTeX. In print, the fonts are usually OK. Günter
