Thanks uwe I don't know how to insert a watermark at all, but assuming you do, all you need to do is put a token where the watermark graphic filename belongs, and then run the proper sed command against the file to print it or make it into a PDF. There are other methods involving LaTeX ifthen, but it's necessary that there's some way to deduce which branch.
