How does one create an envelope in lyx? Please make the instructions
brutally easy as I'm fresh to lyx.

Thank-you, this is the same script I found on my own when the list was
down.

Doesn't seem very user friendly, how does one use it? The instructions
don't really help this dufus.

You can try http://www.18james.com/utilities#icon which will point you
to envelope.icn, a little program written in the Icon language that
will automatically print an envelope, with the USPS barcode, from LyX,
LaTeX, or troff. I meant to translate the program to perl long ago,
and never got around to it. Icon is available from
 http://www.cs.arizona.edu/icon/ for most operating systems.

Thanks Ronald - I'll give it a shot tomorrow.

Hello,

given I understood your message well, that you intend to export a file
from LyX to another program in ASCII, you just have to do a little thing
like this:

Given your file is loaded file- export- ASCII in Lyx, thats it!

Last but not least: A simple description is found in the tutorial,
chapter 5. Another good adress for further inqiuries is Herberts superb
homepage (url found at lyx.org!) giving explantion of different
conversion types from and too LyX.

Hope this helps
