multiple indexes

2016-09-16 Thread Michael Berger

Dear LyX users,

I am using multiple indexes (two different indexes) in my document.

The page numbers in one print blue while black in the other one.

I should add that cross references appear blue as well as the

referenced page numbers in table of contents, in nomenclature, in
bibliographies etc.

I am using 'classicthesis-Lyx- v4.1'

Any hint as to why this happens and how it could possibly be corrected?

Thanks,

Michael

no multiple indexes can be seen in PDF

2016-04-14 Thread Michael Berger

Hi all,
I had earlier asked the list for help on the subject.
Mageia5, KDE, Lyx 2.1.3
There are some links in Mageia that do point to non-existent files: see
Mageia bugs #18085 and #18088.
This is the case too for 'splitindex' which is needed to create multiple
indexes.

Jürgen Spitzmüller told me how to solve the problem by way of creating a
symbolic link.

Open a console as administrator and enter the following command:

ln -s /usr/share/texmf-dist/scripts/splitindex/splitindex.pl /bin/splitindex

This follows the syntax $ ln -s {/path/to/file-name} {link-name}
(You should now find: Root > /bin/splitindex)

Then make 'reconfigure' in Lyx and restart.

Cheers,
Michael Berger

Are you perhaps using the Debian distribution of linux?

I tried your example, and it failed like you say. No index.
Then I tried the UserGuide that comes with LyX, and it also failed to
produce an index.

I use Debian testing, and it turns out they ship a broken clisp
package. When LyX makes an index, it uses a package called xindy,
which in turn depends on clisp. When clisp is wrong, the index is not
produced.

clisp-2.49 does not work, but clisp-2.48 is fine. So the solution is to
downgrade to clisp-2.48. On debian, this command did it for me:

apt-get install clisp=1:2.48-3

Or just download the software and install it yourself.

After this, both the userguide and your file produced indexes as they
should.

Multiple indexes

2011-05-20 Thread Francesco Menoncin

Dear all,

I am working on LyX 2.0 and I have a strange problem with multiple indexes.

I work with both Windows 7 and Ubuntu 11.04.
While in Ubunto everything is OK, I am not able to see the indexes in
Windows.

I have checked the LaTeX-log and I have sees that in Ubuntu the files
with extension ind are correctly loaded, while in Windows 7 there is
the message no file xxx-idx.ind (even if I do not receive any error
while compiling the document).

Any suggestion?

Francesco

You can adjust the sizes as they appear in LyX, if you like, by editing
the layout files. Copy stdsections.inc to your local LyX directory, open
it up in a text editor, and you'll see where the sizes and other aspects
of the font are set. Change them as you wish. The details on font
setting are in the Customization manual.

If you want to adjust the sizes in LaTeX, then use the titlesec package.

Have a look at the package splitidx. You have to define a specific index
converter in PreferencesOutputLaTeX (e.g. splitindex.pl -m 'makeindex -c-
q'), but it works quite well. If you want to reduce ERT, you can define
custom insets in a module (with LyX 1.6). An example is attached.

#\DeclareLyXModule{Index of Names}
