I said the modem is the telnet client.
Telnet is a tcp/ip protocol and there is no such thing as tcp/ip on a 100.
No networking hardware and not enough cpu or ram to do anything useful if
there were such a thing as a network card.
The modem has it's own cpu and ram and tcp/ip stack software, and
Yup you just use TELCOM. Or any terminal app but the built-in telcom is all

Awesome! Yep, I remember doing many ATDP connections back in the early days. In
the video I only highlighted “at” for brevity and timing. Great stuff all

And thanks again to whoever posted about the book “Endless Loop: The History of
the BASIC Programming Language” by Mark J. Lorenzo, i
ATDT stands for attention, Dial, Tone (with P meaning Pulse), so I too was
quite surprised that AT commands worked that way.

How do you get the built-in terminal program to work with FTP? Ascii mode?
Also, where do I find the 45-degree "elbow" serial adapter?

Hiya Jeff,
I use the Terminal program in my Tandy 102… once I set the Stat correctly (baud
rate, etc.) and then hit F4 for Term, then I’m connected to the gadget and the
gadget is connected to the Internet.
From there, I simply type: atdt URL:port to connect to whatever you want to

So would you still use the built-in terminal or is there an actual telnet
client available for the m100 now?

Greetings again!
As a quick follow-up about the GuruModem and WiModem232 gadgets, here’s a quick
video showing the devices themselves plus how to plug them in and turn them on.
While the video doesn’t dive deep into the extended Hayes AT command set, it
does give you an initial impression of wh
Lol. Does that make you Hayes compatible?
