Hi all
I would like to recommend that if anybody is contemplating broadcasting via
Mac, they take a peek at this software. It's truly excellent now! DJ3 was
quite good, but the improvements in DJ4 are mind-blowing! The mixing
functionality has been improved out of sight, and I really like
Hello all is it possible to try this software before buying? Thanks!

Hi Chris
Unfortunately no, it isn't available as trialware any longer because it's in
the Mac App Store. It uses yaour iTunes library and playlists which gives you
to ability to mix and play your music collection like a professional. For just
£13.99 I considder it a total bargain!

Hi,
I know you have two mixing devices, but are mixing devices absolutely necissary
to use this app? I ask this since I don't own a mixer, I just have an mAudio
producer mic with a sound card.

Oh i agree and you can even use DSP effects you bought or are free that you put
in the audio units folder under your user name. it is just very very good. I
wish they would fix the bug where vo is reading the art work instead of the
track in the auto mix table but apart from that if you watch
ok, one thing I'd be interested in knowing, do you have such things as carts
and the like?
I know there's an app called radiologik that does what I want, but it's not
accessible yet.
I'm hoping ti becomes so in he noo distand fu.

Hi Courtney
By devices, I was referring to sound cards. What I said was that we own to
imicd, which are Griffin Technologies USB sound devices. It's not essential to
use two sound cards. But the problem would then be VoiceOver would go down the
pipe as well as your music audio.

Not wishing to start a debate as this isn't a Windows group, I think that for
what it is, SPL Studio/creator is very expensive indeed. People rave about it
but I submit that, if they were to try things like OTS AV DJ Pro Classic,

No, that's its weakness. It doesn't allow for spot groups or jingles. We must
talk to the developers to see if they plan any such expansion. However, if
you're willing to be innovative, there are work-arounds.

What's the best way in Djay if one doesn't have a mixer to successfully do
voice breaks in the like? Will get a mixer eventually but if I were on Windows
using SPL, it wouldn't need any mixer or anything. I'm just not sure how with
Djay and or NiceCast I'd be able to do voice breaks, make Djays
Hi all,
I'm not sure if I posted this to any lists, but over the summer I went over to
the Radiologik user forum and enquired about Accessibility. The developer
basically said that there was no way to do it at the moment but I never replied
to Lane asking about programmer resources or
DJay has mic on/off buttons. As I said in a previous post you do not need an
external mixer.

It'd sure be great but I don't think we're going to see accessibility in this
application any time soon. So I think we need to proceed down other avenues.
I get the impression that, like Parallels Inc., they have no motivation to
rewrite their applications merely to support the very small
Hmm. The problem is that the last time I checked, when turning off that mic
button, all Djay does is turn the Mic slider to zero. When you turn it on again
you have to turn it back up to 100. I wish that when you turned it on the
slider would set the volume where you had it before. I failed an

I agree. I keep my slider to 20 percent due to the mic I use. Actually I just
use quick nav and I quickly bring my slider up to what I had it to before.
It's not pretty but until the dev can work it to where you had the slidder last
then you are pretty much good to go.
I actually remember

How can one use QN to d that? Also, how can you cue up songs and then once the
cue is done it stops? Another issue these people had when I auditioned is that
when they wanted me to do a voice break after a certain song, I'd try and pause
it where the song should end so it doesn't go into the
