I use name changer, or I use an automated work flow hat I created to do this.
just drop the file names on the doc icon you will create and all of them will
be renamed, replacing spaces with under scores. I saved it as an app for
easier use.

rename presets if you set them on to the doc and it does the rest. lol! oh
