Good morning all.
Using a Macbook Pro 13 inch non-retina mid 2012 running Mavericks, any tips and
tricks on how to decrease startup time? I tried repairing the disk but all was
ok there. Somebody suggested repairing disk permissions or so I thought. So
should I try this?
Any responses greatly
have you tried drag and drop instead of copy and paste? ,

What I do is use a tool called “tinker tool” I think I spelled that right but
you can find it on mac update’s site.
I then go to the log in items tab and uncheck all my start up things. I also
try and not have any externals start up at start up if I can help it. I’ve

I cannot remember if that program can modify items that you log in with or not.
It is worth a look though. Also, disable all animations were possible.

I've seen theories like the ones in the article. None of them work for me. But
then again, my mac is three years old.
Lol.

Interesting… I managed to fix it, I think, by uninstalling the extra crap that
Ivox puts in. I found something online about Mavericks, kernel panics, and
third-party software. and hope that works.

Hi all,
I do a lot of cycle training on a static bike and my coach sets me sessions
where I need to cycle at 70 revs per minute, 80 rpm, 90 rpm, 100 rpm and so on.
I therefore want an app that beeps at these kinds of rates.
I've looked at about 4 or 5 musicians metronome apps where all but
Hi Chris,
I have a slightly different suggestion that might work well for you. There's a
musician's app called GigBabyFree! by ioMetrics LLC that is quite accessible,
and that has a built in metronome:
• GigBabyFree! (free) by ioMetrics LLC
Yep its that time of year again.
The Sky.Fm Christmas channel is back up until around the middle of January next
year so download the Sky.Fm App and Have Yourself A Very Merry Christmas and
an even better quality one if you have the Sky.Fm premium subscription service
as streams are at
Oh, cool! I don't have premium, but I'll give it a try anyway with the free
service. I've not used the app. I assume it's pretty accessible with
Voiceover?

About as accessible with Voiceover as you can get smile.
The free service should be fine though I don't know what to expect from the
free service these days as I haven't used that in years.
If my memory serves me correctly you'll probably cop a little advertising, an
announcement every now and
Try tempo perfect. I use that all the time, not for exercise but for my
conducting work. it’s free and you can find it on the ios app store.
Hth.

OK, well, I can tell from your phone number in your sig that you're in
Austrailia. Do you know in the states how much the subscription is? I'd
consider it if it be worth it.

Tempo Perfect by nch software is an excellent metronome for the IOS platform.
They probably have a version for Mac OSX as well. Of course, it deals with
beats per minute, not revolutions per minute, but that's not a big problem as I
think you just want a steady beat that can be adjusted faster
I think its around $35.00 a year.
