Maybe if you could get some more info about your Mac from the About this Mac
under Apple in the main menu someone might be able to tell you if [or what] you

No worries. I've made plenty of those mistakes and have been gently chastised
more then once. lol!
Ok to answer your question you simply can swipe on the text message as there's
no way to even when you hit edit in the main text message app to select more
then one message.

to delete multiple messages go in to mail and hit edit once you get in to the
folder. Now select each one of them and hit the delete button I think
